Tim Cook talks about Apple's Privacy Policies

Tim Cook decided to talk about the privacy policies of Apple, in an open letter. The famous CEO of Apple explained how the company handles users' personal information and how they treat the requests for information coming from the government.

The subject on users' personal information is extremely sensitive. In a recent interview, Tim Cook claimed that Apple takes very seriously this matter. "We don't build a profile based on your email content or Web browsing habits to sell to advertisers.

We don't 'monetize' the information you store on your iPhone or in iCloud. And we don't read your email or your messages to get information to market to you," Tim Cook wrote in the letter he published. The letter was published on Apple's privacy page.

Apple offers the users of its products and services new guidelines on how to protect their online accounts. Moreover, Tim Cook claimed that the company will work to enhance its security alert system when it comes to its online storage service. The company already advised users to set strong passwords on their accounts, for better protection.

Furthermore, Tim Cook took this opportunity to make sure that users of its services know that their data is safe from government surveillance agencies, too. These comments have been made by the CEO of Apple as most recently a series of debates have been on linked to the information that such agencies have obtained from Google, Microsoft or Yahoo.

"I want to be absolutely clear that we have never worked with any government agency from any country to create a backdoor in any of our products or services," Tim Cook revealed in his message. "We have also never allowed access to our servers. And we never will," the CEO of Apple also added.

Users need to be assured that their data is safe when they share it on their personal devices and Tim Cook tried to ensure Apple's customers that they have nothing to worry about. Tim Cook also explained that data on devices which run iOS 8 are protected by users' personal passcodes, which Apple cannot bypass.
