Apple Releases the Pad Mini 3
Apple unveiled a new device, besides iPad Air 2, presenting a smaller tablet called iPad Mini 3.
This device follows the footstep of the bigger Apple tablet and comes with a built-in Touch ID sensor.
This new release, clearly shows that the Apple wanted to challenge the Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S, Sony’s Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and the Amazon’s new Kindle Fire HD7. iPad Mini 3 features an Apple Pay support, the same feature that Apple fans will also find on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
The tech company has started to sale the iPad Mini 3 on its online store beginning with October 17, but they have made the device available in shops only from October 22. You don’t need to see this device as an update to its full-sized sibling.
However, it is important to know that it comes with a Touch ID sensor, allowing you to make purchases online or unlock the tablet by scanning your fingerprint once Apple Pay is rolled out.
With this new feature, online purchases or checking out your bank account becomes safer than imagined.
IPad Mini 3 will feature Apple’s newly announced iOS 8.1 software onboard. Apple declared that with this new software, they also reintroduced the Camera Roll.
So, for those who missed this feature, now it is back on the iOS. IPad Mini 3 also comes with a hidden feature named Apple SIM. With this feature, users will be allowed to switch easily between operators.
This essentially means that owners will no longer have to switch out their SIM card, but they can easily choose what network they want, thanks to the pre-installed Apple SIM.
This device comes with the same 5MP iSight camera, as the one seen in the previous generation device released by Apple.
The rest of the specifications are the same, a 10-hour battery life, 4G LTE support and 200x135x7.2mm, when it comes to dimensions.
iPad Mini 3 is priced at £319 for 16GB model, £399 for the 64GB model and £479 for the 12GB version. If you want 4G LTE, the price will rise by £100 for each model.
