Facebook And Messenger Will Stop Working on Windows 8 and 8.1 Mobile Phones
Popular online social media, Facebook has announced the intention to quit the support for Messengers on Windows 8 and 8.1 mobile phones by the end of March. Though, Facebook is not the first social media to take this kind of decision as Skype did it sometimes ago.
This shouldn’t come as doubt as the brand is currently losing its place in the mobile phone market to Andriod and iOS. According to report, presently windows phone only makes up less than 1% share worldwide in the mobile phone market.
Below is the message Facebook sent to window phone users,
"Thank you for choosing to use Messenger. We regret to inform you that since the end of March, the app version you’re using is no longer supported and you cannot send and receive messages. To continue to send and receive messages from Facebook on your phone, update your Facebook app to the latest version".
Meanwhile, Facebook still makes the app available for window 10 users, so if you’re a fan of windows phone and you’ve been affected with above Facebook restriction, then I guess it’s time for you to move to windows 10.
