Apple Reveals MacBook Pro Update: Force Touch trackpad
Apple’s MacBook Air and Pro lines have remained rock-solid in their feel and look for several generations.
However, the tech company brings each year some updates and tweaks, but only to internal components, from faster Wi-Fi to better hard drives and to new processors.
Probably, the main reason why Apple doesn’t change both the Air and the Pro's designs is because they look so far ahead of many other designs and these laptops still look so up-to-date.
Most recently, it seems that nearly every MacBook has received an update.
Both 13-inch MacBook Pro and MacBook Air have received Intel’s fifth-generation Core I-series processor, also known as Broadwell.
The 13-inch Pro also moved to the company’s new Force Touch trackpad.
The famous touchpad that Apple has unveiled this year uses four sensors and some haptic feedback.
This touchpad was the main attraction on the new 12-inch MacBook, a 2-pound ultraportable device that was the company’s new laptop design in years.
However, the 15-inch Pro laptop also gets the Force Touch trackpad, an updated graphics in the form of an AMD Radeon R9 M370x GPU, but also a faster solid-state hard drive.
Unfortunately, the laptop still remains on the Core i7 CPU, while the fifth-gen Core i7 chips from Intel are only starting to trickle out now.
To be mentioned that even if it didn’t receive so many updates, the 15-inch MacBook Pro is still considered to be the company’s biggest and most powerful laptop.
This laptop is perfect for everyday use and everyday productivity machine, especially for users who are in search for an extra GPU power for video and photo work.
Not to mention the screen that provides sharp views. As for the price, it stays at the same 1,999 dollars for the base model. However, customers can also opt for the 2,499 dollars model, which comes with a bigger 512 hard drive and the AMD graphics.
The best thing about this laptop is that it doesn’t come with a single USB-C port, like the new 12-inch MacBook.
This laptop features two USB 3.0 ports, Mini DIsplayPort outputs, two Thunderbolt 2 ports, an SD card slot, Bluetooth and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Users could also find an optical drive or Ethernet Jack.
