Apple launches iPhone 6
The much awaited moment is finally here: Apple just released the new iPhone 6. It will go on sale this week, after months and months of anticipation and curiosity.
The new next-generation phone comes in two versions, and features an improved camera, a faster processor and a welcomed surprise: a bigger screen size than any other iPhone that has been released until now.
iPhone 6 will have Apple’s new mobile operating system, the famous iOS 8. Since Friday, the giant tech company has taken a record 4 million pre-orders for the new phones.
All Apple stores around the world are preparing for some huge sales.
The two new phone models were unveiled by Apple last night. iPhone 6 has 4.7 inch and is their standard model, the descendant of the iPhone 5S.
However, the device that has raised several questions is the iPhone 6 Plus, which contains most of the features of the iPhone 6, but is a different model in several ways. It was designed to hit the big-screen phones market, where Samsung Galaxy Note dominates.
The iPhone 6 Plus comes with a huge 5.5 inch screen, the biggest screen that an iPhone has ever had. Of course, there are also other differences between these two devices, for example the performance, the battery life and an upgraded camera.
All Apple fans eager to discover these new products should get ready, because iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in Apple stores on September 19th, at 8am. Pre-orders were available since Friday, but they were sold out instantly. The delivery is estimated to 3-4 weeks.
iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are both available in Silver, Gold and Space Grey. All three colors will be available at launch.
The storage options have also been updated, the base storage is as we all know 16GB, but a new 128GB option have been introduced, while the 32GB option has been removed.
Here is the prices available on Apple's website: iPhone 6: £539 for 16GB; £619 for 64GB and £699 for 128GB. For iPhone 6 Plus the prices are: £619 for 16GB; £699 for 64GB and £789 for 128GB.
