Apple Updates iTunes Remote app
Apple decided to release a new update, this time the company coming with a new change to its iTunes remote control app for iOS devices. The new update was revealed by the company on Monday.
The update brings a new visual design, as well as support for iTunes 11.1. This is the second time this year when Apple decides to bring an update to its iTunes remote control app. Only last month, the app received another update, when Apple decided to redesign its icon.
Now, the famous manufacturer claims that this new update will require users to have iOS 7. The iTunes Remote app update is in fact optimized for iPhone 5. Well, this time it seems that Apple focused its attention on updating the user interface of this app.
Actually, this is considered to be an important aspect. With the new iTunes Remote app version, Apple decided to keep the feature list for Remote the same, but still it brought some changes to the version- bumped iTunes support.
Users still have the possibility to control each aspect of iTunes playback on their Mac with this latest update.
Users of Apple TV will also maintain their ability to use an iOS device as a remote control and keyboard. So, many of the capabilities of this app remain unchanged, despite the new update. Users will still be able to browse through iTunes libraries, as well as manage Up Next queue.
However, the new update had to bring some changes, too. Still, one of the most important facts worth to be mentioned is that the iTunes Radio app seems to not be at all in Remote.
This aspect is quite surprising as the new iTunes Radio is an important new aspect in Apple’s products. The update leaves iBooks, iTunes U, Keynote Remote and Find My Friends as the only first-party apps from the App Store that have not seen a new update for the release of iOS 7.
iTunes Remote is the app that helps users turn their iOS device into a remote for iTunes libraries on both Mac and Apple TV. Naturally, this is quite a popular app among users of Apple devices.
