The Acer Aspire Z3 - Great Performance With Lots of Storage

Acer’s new 2-in- 1 model comes with great performance and offers HDMI- and HDMI-out connectivity.

But, we also must say that this device has some downsides, for example it doesn’t have SSD option. Customers will be able to buy the new Acer Aspire Z3 at the price of 1.199 US dollars. At this price, the new Z3 model is considered to be a midrange all-in- one device.

This new model offers a 23.8-inch Full HD touch panel, enough power for a good multimedia experience, and a large hard drive. Customers need to know that this new 2-in-1 desktop is powered by a Core i7 processor, which is accompanied by 16GB of RAM.

We must say that these are some good components for a desktop that is cataloged as a midrange one. But, there are also some downsides. For example, the new Acer Aspire Z3 comes with a not so great display, non-attractive design, slow-boosting hard drive, and a lack of some important ports.

Customers need to know that the new Acer Aspire Z3 doesn’t have ports like Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C.

Moving to the design, we must say that it isn’t as attractive as it should be. For starters, the new Acer Aspire Z3 features a 23.8-inch In-Plane Switching display. Moreover, the body measures 18.3 x 23.2 x 1.4 inches, which means that it is larger than the Apple iMac model. The display is placed on a non- removable L-shaped stand. The good thing about this stand is that customers will be able to tilt the display. Unfortunately, customers will not be able to swivel or height the screen.

The 23.8-inch screen features a 1.920 x 1.080 resolution, and offers wide viewing angles. Unfortunately, if customers will look a little bit closer to the screen they will see the individual square pixels. This is not good at all, because there are many other competitors on the market that offer a good quality display.

We are talking about the Lenovo models, more specifically the Lenovo B50 and the ThinkCentre X1. We also must say that the pixels really stand out, especially when users are watching wide swaths of color.

The new Acer Aspire Z3 also comes with built-in speakers. This is a really good thing, but customers need to know that these speakers are not so great. They are offering good sound, but lack meaningful bass. To be added that there is also a full HD webcam positioned in the center above the screen.

Unfortunately, this webcam doesn’t have a privacy shutter, like other models, for example the Dell Optiplex 7450. As for inputs and outputs, we must say that the new Acer Aspire Z3 comes with a keyboard and mouse. Both of these accessories use a USB RF adapter.

As we know, RF adapters are still used on Windows all-in- one desktops, due to their low prices. But, many manufacturers have started to offer accessories that can be paired via Bluetooth, which is a better solution.

The new Acer Aspire Z3 comes with a high number of ports, including an SD card reader, headset jack and USB 3.0 ports.
