Samsung Galaxy S8 Active With Rugged Look Appears

An "Active" variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8 has appeared. This variant doesn't have the curved edges on the side and adapted LG G6's flat screen approach.

Maybe, the reason behind that is to lessen the frailness of of curved screen while still providing a wider aspect screen ratio. Given its "new" look, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active should be tougher than your regular Galaxy S8 series. Let's also expect it to have Military Grade rating and IP68 water and dust resistance.

Unfortunately, we still have no clues on what we'll find inside. There's a good chance that it'll sport most of the key specs found with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+

Since it was listed by Wireless Power Consortium, there's a good chance that it'll support wireless charging. It has the model number of SM-G892A that was registered last May 18, 2017.
