Galaxy Note 8 Leak Reveals Radical Design Changes

Sold on a Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus? You might want to think again. New leaks surrounding Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 suggest it may well be the best smartphone of 2017.
The ever reliable SamMobile has surfaced new information from the Samsung’s Chinese supply chain stating that not only will the Galaxy Note 8 have the biggest display in any premium Galaxy ever, but also the first dual camera.
Expanding (literally) upon the Infinity Displays seen in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, the Galaxy Note 8 is claimed to feature a 6.3-inch panel. This is 0.1-inches larger than the Galaxy S8 Plus, famously huge midrange Galaxy Mega and a whopping 0.6-inches larger than the Galaxy Note 7. It will also switch to the same 18.5:9 aspect ratio of the new S series which should mean it remains usable one handed.
There was no information on a potential 4K native resolution as Samsung gears up its play into virtual reality.
As for the dual camera, this supports detailed information from KGI Security’s famed Apple insider Ming Chi-Kuo. This revealed a 3x optical zoom and with all-new six element lenses which Kuo believes will be “the most important upgrade” of the Galaxy Note 8 and “much better than that of iPhone 7 Plus”.
Should talk also bear out that Samsung has managed to integrate the fingerprint sensor into the display, then it appears the Galaxy Note 8 will address two of the biggest features expected-but-omitted from the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus.
And with these new Galaxies being arguably the best smartphones in the world right now (despite several flaws), the Galaxy Note 8 would be just the sort of imposing opponent Samsung needs against the upcoming 10th anniversary iPhone and super-sized Google Pixel 2
