Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ debuts in India
Samsung has launched its new flagship, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ in India for Rs. 57,990 and Rs. 64,900 respectively. They will be available starting May 5 across retail stores, and online exclusively on Flipkart and Samsung's e-store, and will come bundled with AKG by Harman earphones in the retail box. Pre-booking opens today, and all pre-booking will get a free Convertible Wireless charger, and Double Data offer on Jio with Rs. 309 recharge (448GB 4G data over eight months).
The performance of Galaxy S8 and S8+ is handled by Exynos 8895 chip, Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB RAM and runs Android 7.1 Nougat with Samsung's custom UI on top. The phones come with 64GB storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.
The camera department includes 12MP Dual Pixel Sensor f/1.7 rear camera with dual-LED flash, PDAF and OIS. On the front there's 8MP selfie camera.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy S8/S8+ offer Cat 16 LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, 3.5mm headphone jacks and GPS with GLONASS. The Galaxy S8 is fueled by 3000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8+ gets juice to run from a bigger 3500mAh battery. They support Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 technology as well as wireless charging.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ comes in Midnight Black and Maple Gold colors, while the Galaxy S8+ will be offered in Coral Blue hue.
