Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon: Lightest Business Ultrabook in 2017
Lenovo is coming with the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon on the market. The company claims that this laptop comes with a battery that can go up to 16 hours of use.
Customers will be able to buy the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon at the price of 1.349 dollars. This laptop is the thinnest and lightest one that the company has ever made.
The company’s new flagship business ultraportable has less than approximately 2.5 pounds. Even if it weighs so less, we must say that this new laptop has the processing muscle to power through spreadsheets, presentations and many others.
Another great thing is the battery life, which the company has declared that can go up to 16 hours of use.
So, without a doubt that this device is built to handle long work sessions when a wall outlet is not in sight.
We must say that the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is one of the best ultraportable devices for business.
This laptop is highly recommended for C-level executives or owners of a small-medium size business. To be added that last year’s model costs approximately 888 dollars, but it was made for keeping it around the office.
Now, the fifth-generation iteration came along, at the price of 1.475 dollars and it is even more portable.
On the left side, customers will find a pair of USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3. It is a good thing, because as we look at Apple’s MacBook we see that it comes with just one USB-C port.
We must say that X1 Carbon’s USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 ports support DisplayPort and charging. This means that users are all set for multi-monitor support or a single-cable connection to supported dock. Customers will also find an HDMI jack situated on the left side, plus a USB 3.0 port, and a proprietary mini-Ethernet jack.
Moving forward, on the right side there is a headset jack, a security-lock port, and a second USB 3.0 port. On the back there is a microSD card slot and a SIM card slot for an optional 4G LTE modem.
Another interesting feature that people will find on the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is the Anti-Fry protection.
As usual, like many other Lenovo models, customers should know that this new model comes with one of the most comfortable keyboards in the business.
Moreover, it comes with an embedded TrackPoint pointing stick for ThinkPad vets. There is also a glass-surface touchpad below three physical mouse buttons.
Customers will find a fingerprint reader that is placed on the right of the touchpad. This feature works with Windows Hello, and can be integrated into users’ company’s security policies for one-touch logins to their accounts.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon comes with an Intel Core i5-7300U processor with integrated Intel HD Graphics 620, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD.
