Huawei fit smart fitness watch review: Effective heart rate monitor
Fitness bands are highly searched at the moment. Smartwatches are starting to be left behind, and we have customers who are in high search for these fitness trackers that offer plenty of useful features.
When it comes to fitness trackers, we are talking about Fitbit, which is an expensive band manufacturer, or Xiaomi, which is a cheap band manufacturer.
This is where we are standing, but there is another category that makes us all confuse. We are talking about a category where we meet some unusual manufacturers for this field, like Fossil or Huawei.
As we know, Fossil has at the moment an excellent range of hybrid smartwatches, which makes it a strong competitor on this market.
This means, that Fitbit starts to have more and more competitors, which already represent a threat for them.
But, this is not all, because these days, Huawei has released its own fitness band, called the Fit. This new wearable tracker is available at the price of 130 dollars.
When we look at it we can say that it is more similar with a Fitbit than with a Fossil device.
Moreover, the new Huawei Fit is four times the price of a Xiaomi Mi Band 2.
So, the question here is if people should spend this amount of money on the Fit or just go for the cheaper solution, which is one of Xiaomi’s devices?
The new Huawei Fit is similar with the previous model, called the Huawei Band. The Band was released at the beginning of 2016, and shared the same features and look as the Honor Band Z1.
The new Huawei Fit has a circular, subtle, 1-inch screen with a 208 x 208 pixel resolution. Moreover, this circular screen is surrounded by a bezel engraved with hour markings, which offers a nice look.
It is strange that Huawei opted for a screen with large bezels, but it doesn’t look bad at all and reminds us of the Pebble Time Round.
Moving forward, we must say that the new Huawei Fit comes with a metal, IP68 water-resistant body that is covered in gunmetal grey color.
Customers who prefer another color, should know that this is the only color that Huawei released its new device in.
However, the good part is that people can change the color of the straps. The original model comes with a black silicone strap, but people could also opt for the blue and orange silicone strap.
Customers should know that the new Huawei Fit is all touchscreen control and there are no buttons situated on the body.
The menu system is navigated using up and down, and left and right swipes. It is important to know that this fitness tracker runs its own proprietary operating system. It is not the most responsive and fastest OS on the market, but it does its job.
The new Huawei Fit also comes with an app that works with both Android and iOS. For this app, people will need to sign up for a Huawei account to get started.
