Google Increases Incoming E-mail File Size Limit To 50MB, Read More



Google has increased the allowable size limit of any incoming file to be received on Gmail from 25MB to 50MB. Which means you can now received files up to 50MB at once on your Gmail. Though this only affected the incoming email as Google didnt increase the size of outgoing email, therefore if you want to send a larger file through email, Google expects you to use Google drive. Remember, Google drive allows users to share files up to 5 terabytes.

This was Google statement about this increase;

"Starting today, you will be able to receive emails of up to 50MB directly"
