Vernee Apollo 2 with MediaTek Helio X30, 8GB RAM will debut at MWC 2017
Last year, Vernee, a new comer, marked its debut into the smartphone market with the Apollo. The phone offered top-end specs like QHD display, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage at a budget, and managed to grab everyone's attention. This year the company has similar plans too.
However, the Vernee Apollo 2 is said to be the first smartphone to use MediaTek's Helio X30 processor. For those unaware, Helio X30 is a deca-core processor (2 x Cortex-A73 cores @ 2.8GHz | 4 x Cortex-A53 cores @ 2.2GHz | 4 x Cortex-A53 cores @ 2.0GHz), built using 10nm manufacturing processor, and packs IMG 7XTP-Mt4 GPU clocked at 820MHz.
Vernee has also confirmed that it will offer Apollo 2 in two configurations - 4GB RAM/64GB and 6GB RAM/128GB storage. There's no word on other specs, but Apollo 2 will most likely come with QHD display, fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C port and Google's latest mobile operating system, Android Nougat.
We should know more details later this month.
