New Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus details: battery specs revealed and Bixby could be called Hello
New details of Samsung's upcoming flagship Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus has hit the interwebs. This time its about the battery capacity.
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will reportedly have 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch display respectively, so it will be interesting to see, how Samsung will ensure similar battery life with the bigger Quad HD displays. The batteries for Galaxy S8 will be supplied by Samsung SDI and Japan's Murata Manufacturing.
In a separate leak, new details of Samsung's upcoming AI assistant has been revealed. A trademark filing of the Samsung voice assistant suggests that Bixby will be called "Samsung Hello". As per the trademark, Samsung Hello is a “software that enable block users or computers and mobile devices to access, aggregate, organize and interact with content, information and images and topics of general interest to such users”.
Just few days back a handful of alleged renders of Galaxy S8/S8 Plus hit the interwebs. As per the renders, Galaxy S8/S8 Plus will have an all screen design with curved display, and slim bezels on top and bottom, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner (home button is getting an axe), dedicated button for Bixby/Samsung Hello, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack and Iris Scanner. Earlier reports have suggested that the phone will be waterproof and includes microSD card slot, and Microsoft's Continuum like functionality via Dex dock.
