Moreover, Apple managed to enter top three best-selling smartphones in China with two devices. This means that besides the impressive sales of iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus also did great. The iPhone 6 Plus was the third best-selling phone on this important market, behind Xiaomi's Android-based RedMi Note which took the second place.
The impressive sales of these two latest Apple phones, as well as the sales of other devices released by the famous company, placed Apple on the top spot in China's preferences.
The tech giant has actually aggressively pursued deals with the three main mobile carriers in China, with the purpose to bring the iPhone to the country. And the Chinese just seem to love Apple's products.
"There has been a strong appetite for Apple’s products in urban China seen since the launch of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and this has continued into Chinese New Year," a statement from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech indicated. "China Mobile’s subscribers accounted for 59 percent of the 27.6 percent volume share recorded by iOS in the latest period. Across key global markets Apple’s momentum generally continued from last month, with market share gains in all markets except the US and Japan," it added.
However, Apple did not only achieve impressive results in China. The famous iPhone marker has also managed to take 2.9 percent share from Android, in Europe.
