Apple at War with Jay-Z's Tidal
Jay-Z's Tidal service may already have numerous fans, but Apple seems to not be one of them. Sources alleged that Apple actually considers itself to be at war with the music streaming service launched by Jay-Z, the tech giant trying to crush this service before June, when it is set to release Apple's Beat Music.
Tidal was first released on March 30. The new service was well received on the market, at least at first. Last week, it has been revealed that Tidal fell out of the iPhone top 700 apps. Well, sources claimed that while Android approved the new app sometime in the middle of April, Apple failed to do so.

According to these sources, the popular company "deliberately took a long time to approve Tidal iOS app updates. Tidal had a new app on Android on April 15, but still hasn’t received approval for Apple’s iOS app store."
Moreover, according to these sources, cited by Apple Insider, Apple is really determined to take Tidal down. The vice president of iTunes Content, Robert Kondrk, has allegedly declared war to all the artists who decide to sign up with Tidal.
According to sources, Universal Music Group was told that all artists who are associated to the new music streaming service and put exclusive music out on Tidal will no longer be promoted or featured on iTunes. If these statements are true, without a doubt these are very serious allegations formulated against Apple.
Sources claimed that Rihanna was one of the first artists who had her music removed from iTunes. Allegedly, almost immediately after her single American Oxygen debuted on Tidal, Rihanna's music on iTunes started to experience some technical problems, with made it inaccessible.
A spokesman for Apple claimed that this story regarding Rihanna's music was "not true." However, no other comments were made by the spokesperson, so the rest of the claims were not denied at this point.
Other rumors indicate that Apple is not focusing on eliminating competition, but is actually trying to rebrand its Beats Music, to be able to compete against others services, including Tidal. Some analysts claim that Apple will actually make a re-launch in June, at the Worldwide Developers Conference.
